About Erika
Artist Statement
ERD represents a diverse collection of fine jewelry in mixed metals (22K, 18K & 14K golds, sterling silver), and gemstones. As a designer, I'm attracted to simple elegance - bold, clean designs that spare no metal and feel good to the touch. The dimensionality of a piece - often feeling like small sculptures- is an important factor.
I design and execute one of a kind hand made pieces as well as sculpting in wax, casting by the lost wax method. An unusual stone often drives the design for a one of a kind piece.
Jewelry design began as a hobby through evening classes in metalsmithing, wax design, and stone setting that eventually turned into a passion and eventual life transition.
The collection is currently sold privately and through various craft markets, most recently
at Crafts on Columbus
and Crafts at Lyndhurst.
